I'm sorry I missed you again! That July 4th weekend had me needing a break, but we're back! Keeping this one a bit short, but our TMW episode is a banger.

Talk Money Weekly: Why Your Couch Delivery is Taking So Long!

In this week's episode, we talk about why furniture delivery is taking so long! It takes months to get a couch these days. Why? Supply chain issues from COVID and other weather-related events. You would be surprised what was affected that is causing all the backup. There are multiple factors.
I sit with my good friend Ali Khan, who runs a wholesale luxury furniture distribution company and he will blow your mind. Tune in to find out what's causing all the delays!
How Inflation is Affecting Everything

Car rentals and car dealerships. The two last places you want to have a price advantage on you. People still want to travel, so assuming that's why car rentals are so high. We know there's a car shortage because of the chip supply chain disruption.
They left out lumber in this one. Keep in mind that these pretty clickbait-y numbers. They are really based on being up from the COVID lows. If I sold one couch last week. And I sold two couches this week. I could say, "couches sales up 100%!" It's the time period that matters. Hard to get those cheap airline tickets now that everyone wants to travel again.
Mario 64 Sells For Over $1M

LOL. This is so stupid. I used to play this game in Middle School. How old am I?! The best part of the comments is that this is a money-laundering scheme. This makes COMPLETE sense.
Collectibles' prices are getting ridiculous. Given we've covered black money in previous episodes of the weekly, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a way to clean illegitimate money. If it's not, this is a terrible investment. Zelda: Ocarina of Time was a WAY better game.
Chobani Files to Go Public

One of the coolest founder stories ever. This guy not only came to the US as an immigrant, but he also hired and supported refugees. On top of his wealth with the success of Chobani, he made sure that everyone in his company benefited from the company's success.
This is what the Ubers of the world got wrong. Empower the people that make your business. ย I'm curious to see how this IPO performs. I'm a huge fan of the company and brand, but will that result in a great stock performance?
That's all the news from this past week! If I was to make this newsletter into a Youtube show, would you watch it?
